HANOVER TOWNSHIP — Two women in Luzerne County face charges after police say they failed to take a 2-year-old child to the hospital after the girl was burned.
Police charged Amanda Lopez, 22, and Tania Staer, 32, both Hanover Township with endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators believe that the women left the home and Staer’s 3-year-old son poured hot water on the 2-year-old daughter’s neck, ears, and back. Police said they didn’t call an ambulance and they said they couldn’t take the child to the hospital because they didn’t have child seats in their van.
Both women are locked up in the Luzerne County Prison.
