WILKES-BARRE — Work will finally set to begin to tear down the old Hotel Sterling in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
An excavation company from Luzerne County will begin work to bring down the dilapidated Sterling, starting on July 25.
We found some heavy equipment moving into place on Monday.
The work is expected to take close to 60 days.
Some further road closures may be necessary along River and Market Streets when the demolition gets underway.
