DICKSON CITY — It’s still nearly three weeks until NASCAR returns to Pocono Raceway but driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. was doing his thing at a bowling alley in Lackawanna County on Monday.
NASCAR’S second race in northeastern Pennsylvania this season is now sponsored by the website gobowling.com, so Stenhouse came to Idle Hour Lanes in Dickson City.
Most people wanted to know about Sunday’s race in New Hampshire, where Stenhouse was involved in a wreck with Danica Patrick who just happens to be his off-track girlfriend.
“Danica got in the corner a little too hard in the back of us and crashed us, but she felt terrible about it. It’s just one of those racing things. Anyone else could’ve done it as well. We race so many times, you just make mistakes, you’re never perfect and it’s just part of racing,” Stenhouse said.
NASCAR returns to Pocono Raceway with the gobowling.com 400 on August 4.
