Pineapple Inn Bed and Breakfast

One of Lewisburg’s finest B and B’s, the Pineapple Inn has beautiful rooms, great breakfasts and hospitality like no other.  It’s located right in the heart of Lewisburg.  Jackie Lewandoski stops in to meet the innkeepers and taste their delicious french toast.
Pineapple Inn French Toast Breakfast
1 loaf homemade cinnamon raisin bread unsliced
3 extra lg. farm fresh eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. whole milk
Powdered sugar.
Slice bread with a serrated bread knife into 1 inch thick slices:  Set aside.  Whip 3 eggs together and slowly add milk and vanilla.  Heat griddle to medium or medium high.  Grease griddle with butter and dunk 1 slice of bread and flip it and dunk the other side.  Place on hot griddle. Repeat the process until griddle is full of bread.  Watch bread as it toasts. When golden to light brown, flip over.
When both sides are done remove from griddle.  Slice toast into half widths.  Sift with Powdered sugar. Use syrup if you like.
