Annual 1940’s Swing Dance
Eckley Miner’s Village sponsors the dance. Join Eckley’s re-enactors & re-enactors from all around the East Coast as they “Swig the Night Away” to the music of the Big Band Era with a live performance from the Hazleton Philharmonic. The Swing Dance is at the Freeland Public Park Pavilion on Saturday, July 27 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Free Health Expo
The public is invited to Kirby Park to have their blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, pulmonary function & other checkups. Activities include vegetarian food tasting, exercise ideas and information & activities for children. The Health Expo is at the Martz Pavilion on Sunday, July 28 from noon – 4 p.m.
