SCRANTON — There is a big shakeup in the race for mayor of Scranton.

Republican nominee Garett Lewis says he’s dropping out of the campaign.

Lewis won the GOP nomination in the primary election and the right to face off against Democrat Bill Courtright in November.

Lackawanna County’s Republican committee will now have to select a new nominee to run in the fall.
