String Of Car Thefts In Lackawanna County

CLARKS SUMMIT — Police in Lackawanna County are warning people to lock their car doors after a string of thefts in Clarks Summit.

Over the past few nights, Clarks Summit police say they have responded to eight vehicle thefts.

Officers say thieves got away with GPS units, iPods and credit cards.

Police say the vehicles targeted were left unlocked and mostly occurred on Hutson Street, Main and Colburn Avenues.

Anyone with information on the thefts in Clarks Summit are asked to call police at 570-587-3026.
