Man Admits To Causing Crash That Killed Elderly Couple

HANOVER TOWNSHIP ----A man from Hanover Township, admitted responsibility for a crash that killed an elderly couple in Luzerne County.

Kevin Allen, 35,  pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide on Monday.

Edward Skwirut, 89, and his wife, Dorothy, 86, of Nanticoke were killed in August of 2011.

Police say Allen was speeding in a truck hauling concrete mix when he crashed into a car on the San Souci Parkway just outside Wilkes-Barre.

There is no word yet on a sentencing date for Allen.
