NEWPORT TOWNSHIP -- Police in part of Luzerne County say they are investigating possible elder abuse.
According to a statement from the Guardian Elder Care Center near Nanticoke, administrators alerted law enforcement about possible abuse Wednesday.
Officers in Newport Township say the alleged victim did not have to go to a hospital and so far, no charges have been filed.
Guardian's statement says workers at the facility are cooperating with law enforcement in Luzerne County.
