Doug Bernier returned to PNC Field on Monday night with his Rochester Red Wing teammates to face his former team the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Bernier now in the Minnesota Twins organization is hoping for a shot in the major leagues soon. That will come with solid play which he is displaying this year hitting .278 with 60 hits thru 68 games with Rochester.

Bernier last stepped into PNC Field as a member of the SWB Yankees in 2011 when he played in 95 games. Last year Bernier played away from Moosic while the re-construction project went on here in Lackawanna County. Doug played a total of 242 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over a three-year period collecting 145 hits.
