HARRISBURG -- A family from Luzerne County stood next to Governor Tom Corbett Tuesday when he signed a law that will allow crime victims and their families to testify in person before a parole board decides to release an inmate from prison.
The poisoning murder of Robert Curley in 1991 by his wife Joann helped inspire the law.
The victim's family has been trying to block her early release from prison, but up until now they could only write letters to the parole board.
