TAYLOR -- Crews raced to the scene of a natural gas leak in Lackawanna County around noon Tuesday.

Officials with PennDOT say the leak started when a crew working on the Main Avenue bridge project in Taylor hit a gas line.

People in three homes near the bridge had to leave until crews could fix the leak.

Workers stopped the gas leak around 3:45 p.m.
