WILKES-BARRE -- Two shootings in Luzerne County over the weekend remain under investigation. In Wilkes-Barre, some residents spent their day adding up the damage from the bullets that hit several vehicles early yesterday morning, and slightly injured two people.

Flat tires, bullet holes, and a few people now limping. That's the damage after police say 10 to 15 bullets were fired in this part of Park Avenue in Wilkes-Barre.

"I was right here but I ignored it because it wasn`t like a gunshot. I`m from Philadelphia. Gunshots, I know. It just didn`t sound like a gunshot," said neighbor Roland Parfaite.

But this is clear proof that's exactly what the noise was. Police say a woman and her boyfriend were walking home from a nearby bar when they heard an arugment on the street and then heard gunshots. The man and woman were both hit and treated at the hospital. Neighbors say they were hit in the legs.

This tire here is the only one left on this car. Some neighbors told us the other three tires were blown out in the shooting but others said they thought they were just getting replaced and had no idea this was a result of the gunfire.

"I thought somebody had stolen the tires. That`s the only thing I could think of. Since I didn`t hear no shooting, except that, like I said firecrackers, didn`t sound like a gunshot," said Parfaite.

Wilkes-Barre Police are investigating the shooting. Neighbors say they don't feel safe here anymore.

"I don`t like to think of anything as a random shooting when somebody gets hurt, ever. I deplore violence in all its forms," said neighbor Ken Vital.

"It`s just getting bad. I`m thinking of moving. I really am," said Parfaite.

Police say the woman was hit twice and the man was hit once. They were treated and released from the hospital.
