SCRANTON -- Hundreds of walkers in Lackawanna County laced up their sneakers to raise money for an illness you don't often hear about.
The tenth annual Walk Two Miles in my Shoes for RSD was held Sunday at McDade Park.
RSD is Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, a neurological disorder that affects the immune system.
Participants say the annual walk has brought much needed attention to RSD.
When I was diagnosed I had no clue what it was. I didn't know anyone else that had it and the first year I came to the walk it was such an awakening for me because that's where I got all my information on RSD," said Barb Norton .
There was also a car show as part of the fundraiser.
Money from the walk will go to the RSD Association for research and awareness.
