HAZLETON — Vandalism could be the reason thousands in the Hazleton area were without power for nearly three hours on Sunday, according to PPL.
The outage happened around 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Power was restored by 9:30 p.m.
PPL says multiple pieces of equipment malfunctioned at the Harwood substation in Luzerne County leaving nearly 10,000 homes and businesses in the dark.
