With the rain pounding down in Lackawanna County on Monday the Old Forge Blue Devils baseball team decided to head over to the Electric City baseball complex on Davis Street for practice. Old Forge meets Canton on Tuesday at Bloomsburg University at 4pm in the "A" Eastern Final. The winner heads to Penn State University on Friday for the state championship. That game is set to begin at 10:30am.
Since winning the District 2 "A" championship game over Lackawanna Trail at PNC Field the Blue Devils have rolled of wins over Tri-Valley and Devon Prep. Now the Warriors of Canton from the Northern Tier stand in their way towards a state title.
Newswatch 16 sports will be in Columbia County on Tuesday for three games. Two baseball and one softball. The Loyalsock and Salisbury baseball game begins at Bloomsburg Univerity at 1pm on Tuesday followed by Canton and Old Forge.
