Hughesville had a 5-1 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning. In the bottom of that frame the Loyalsock Lancers made a rally to tie the game at 5-5. Eventually the Spartans of Hughesville scratched off two extra runs to win the District IV "AA" title 7-5.
Loyalsock the district runner-up faces Lakeland on Monday in the first round of state play.
