MOUNT CARMEL -- Investigators in Upper Darby Township near Philadelphia said a man wanted for a shooting in Northumberland County is dead.
Police say Federal Marshalls found Anthony Galla, 31, of Lebanon County inside a hotel room late Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities filed attempted homicide charges against Galla, a former police officer in Northumberland County.
Officers said Galla walked into his ex-girlfriend's house and shot her boyfriend in the foot in Mount Carmel early Tuesday morning, then fled.
Daniel McNally is expected to be fine.
Galla was a former police officer and Marine.
According to police, Galla was a police officer in several area municipalities, including Mount Carmel where he worked until 2011. Police said his last known place of employment as a police officer was in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.
