UPDATE: Shooting Suspect Killed

MOUNT CARMEL -- Investigators in Upper Darby Township near Philadelphia said a man wanted for a shooting in Northumberland County is dead.

Police say Federal Marshalls found Anthony Galla, 31, of Lebanon County inside a hotel room late Tuesday afternoon.

Shots were fired and police said Galla was killed, no one else was injured. A man and anthony gallawoman with Galla were arrested. Investigators said they found a handgun and a bag of ammunition in Galla's hotel room.

Authorities filed attempted homicide charges against Galla, a former police officer in Northumberland County.

Officers said Galla walked into his ex-girlfriend's house and shot her boyfriend in the foot in Mount Carmel early Tuesday morning, then fled.

Daniel McNally is expected to be fine.

Galla was a former police officer and Marine.

According to police, Galla was a police officer in several area municipalities, including Mount Carmel where he worked until 2011.  Police said his last known place of employment as a police officer was in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.
