Police Searching for Man After Assault

TOWANDA — Police in Bradford County are searching for a man they say assaulted another man Friday night in Towanda.

Police are looking for Blake Dieffenbach, 25, of Troy. He is described as being 5’10” with short brown or black hair. He may be driving a beige Dodge Caliber with PA registration HNC-1016. He is wanted on charges of attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault.

Police say Dieffenbach assaulted Donald Burrell, 55, late Friday night at Burrell’s home on Maple Street in Towanda. Burrell was taken to the hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

Towanda police say they are investigating what relationship, if any, Dieffenbach and Burrell had.

Police believe Dieffenbach may be in the Elmira, New York area. They say he may be armed and should be considered dangerous.
