CARBONDALE — A fire earlier this month in Carbondale has been ruled a case of arson.
The fire happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. State police say someone lit a small fire in a closet inside an abandoned house on Garfield Avenue.
A neighbor heard the smoke alarms going off and called 911.
State police in Lackawanna County say the house in Carbondale did not sustain much damage.
