JENKINS TOWNSHIP — The district attorney’s office in Luzerne County is handing off a deadly hit and run investigation to the state attorney general’s office.
The D.A.’s office cites a potential conflict of interest.
A driver hit Jen Darsky, 65, at her mailbox in Jenkins Township on Mother’s Day.
In a release, D.A. Stefanie Salavantis said that she has “a close personal relationship with one of the witnesses who came forward in the case.”
Authorities have not made any arrests.
