HANOVER TOWNSHIP — A benefit filled with lots of entertainment was held at Screwballs Bar and Grill in Hanover Township for Jayden May, 8, who was diagnosed with type one diabetes about two years ago.
He has a service dog named Rocky who’s trained to let the family know if Jayden’s blood sugar levels are too low but that dog’s pretty costly.
Jayden’s uncle tells us the family was hoping this fundraiser would help with some of the cost.
“We have a ton of bands here at Screwballs and it’s just a big group of the community coming together and a bunch of bands, 40 lb. Head, Mr. Echo, Breakdown Jimmy. We’re all trying to raise some money for a good cause and have a good time,” said Dave Evans.
There was also plenty of food and raffle baskets at the event.
