"Our coach told us we're going to taper at the right time, so we just try to work hard at practice and our two juniors pushed us every practice me and Brandon and we just came out here and did what we had to do," said Herb Stelly.

Going into this district meet everybody wondering if Ellen Shepard from Central Columbia could make it three in a row in the girl's AA 100 meter dash and if she could also break that district record.

Shepard out clean. Gets the motor going and crosses the finish first in 12.16 seconds-just off record time.

"I was so excited. I was watching the clock as I was running trying to like see where I was headed and I didn't expect that fast, but I'm so excited with that time," said Ellen Shepard.

From the track to the field-amazing throws and jumps. Matt Krezmer from Montoursville throws the javelin 204-9 inches for AA gold. Courtney McCartney-Selinsgrove only a sophomore 126-6 inches in the AAA girl's discus.

Norman Whaley triple jumps 44 feet for Milton-the AAA title is his. Justin Norman from Jersey Shore 49-2 1/4 shot put AAA championship to Norman, and on the high jump Joselyn Pasqual from Milton going for the school record of 5 feet 8 inches can't quite get it,but does get gold.

"It feels good to be district champion. I've been working really hard for it, but I feel like I could've done better. So we'll see at states what happens," said Joselyn Pasqual.

Dominic Galantini from Montgomery wins gold in AA pole vault clearing 13-6 inches. Jaid Harsch from Williamsport cleans up in the girl's AAA 100 hurdles in 15.42 seconds while Terry Stoner from Montoursville wins the AA 100 hurdles in 15.51.

Boy's side 110 high hurdles Luke Rarig from Southern Columbia in 15.0 seconds flat and teammate Joe Kleman wins the AA 100 meter dash in 11.31 seconds while Ryan Wary from Shikellamy wins the AAA 100 meter dash in 11.06 seconds.
