Cassidy Jenkins the Lakeland sophomore won the girl's 110 hurdles at the 2013 District 2 AA Track and Field Championships on Monday at Scranton Memorial Stadium. She was one of many athletes making the field this year.
Tyler Burger also a sophomore from Northwest Area high-school took home three gold medals. They included the 110 high hurdles, the 300 hurdles, and the boy's long jump.
Olivia Jendrezjewski from Hanover Area won the girl's triple jump 36-7 1/4 and also took home gold by clearing 5-4 in the high jump. The Holy Redeemer girls won the AA title while the Lakeland boys took home first.
