CHERRY TOWNSHIP — An argument involving four people led to a shooting in Sullivan County late Saturday night. One man had to be flown to the hospital.
According to state police, the shooting happened just before midnight at a business in Cherry Township, near Dushore. The business was closed at the time, but troopers say two men and a woman were inside.
Troopers say the boyfriend of the woman showed up, smashed a window, and started yelling at the woman and the two men.
The argument led to a physical fight between the boyfriend and one of the men. Troopers say the other man tried to separate them and that man’s handgun went off.
The boyfriend was treated and released from the hospital. The man he was fighting with was flown to Geisinger Wyoming Valley to be treated for a gunshot wound.
Troopers have not released the names of anyone involved in the incident in Sullivan County. The investigation is continuing.
