BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP -- State troopers in Luzerne County filed charges against two men Thursday morning for a violent home invasion and robbery more than a year ago.

One of the men charged is known by police as a career criminal.

That man, William Gronosky, was already in jail, charged for other burglaries, break-ins, and even a police pursuit where he's accused of shooting at troopers.

Gronosky and another man were slapped with charges for last year's home invasion and troopers are trying to track down two other men.

Thirteen months after a couple in their 70s was tied up with phone cords and robbed inside their Bear Creek Township home, state troopers say they know who is responsible.

Investigators have also now filed burglary charges against Charles Conden, 46, of Hanover Township.  He and Gronosky and are locked up in the Luzerne County Prison.

State troopers say they are still looking for Wesley Hendricks, 51, and Nathaniel Vestal, 39, both of Wilkes-Barre, who they say helped steal guns, jewelry, and cash.

Court documents indicate that a confidential informant came forward last month, telling state troopers that they heard the four men talking in detail, about the home invasion as well as what they stole from the couple.

People who live in Bear Creek Township say they are relieved by the arrests.

"When we first moved here, I could've left the keys in the car. Nobody would bother anything. Now it's like a different world up here. And they're doing it in the daylight!" said Pat Frankelli.

Frankelli says her home and several of her neighbors homes were broken into in the past. She hopes the men troopers are looking for are found soon.

"They'll have friends or maybe they cross somebody else. They'll get them eventually. But it takes time, I guess."

Gronosky is still awaiting trial on charges of robbing a bar then leading police on a chase and firing several shots at troopers.

Anyone with information on Hendricks and Vestal should call troopers at the Wyoming Barracks at 570-697-2000.
