DURYEA — A man faces invasion of privacy charges after police said his cell phone was found to contain pictures of women in the bathroom of a restaurant in Luzerne County.
According to authorities, a woman reported an invasion of her privacy when using the bathroom at Romano’s in Duryea in April. The woman told officers she saw a cell phone taking video of her.
Upon investigation, police said the phone belong to Joe Dowd. Investigators said Dowd, 36, claimed he lost his phone and did not take any pictures or video of women using the bathroom.
Police said a crime lab recovered two videos of women using the toilet. Dowd was arraigned Tuesday in Pittston.
