SCRANTON — A project to repave about 50 blocks in Scranton is underway.
Contractors were out Monday milling and paving several streets in south Scranton.
The city received more than a $1 million from the federal government to pave streets this year.
Officials say they’re required to pave in areas deemed “low income” after the 2000 census.
Crews already paved streets in west side.
After they’re finished in south Scranton, he paving project will move to the Green Ridge and Plot sections of the city.
