Four Dogs Died In Fire

PARADISE TOWNSHIP — Flames destroyed a house in Monroe County Monday night.

Officials said the flames started just before 9 p.m. on Alpine Road, in Paradise Township, near Mount Pocono.

The fire chief told Newswatch 16, the woman who lived inside was watching her grandson when the fire started.

They both got out safely, however, four dogs died in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
