SCRANTON — After weeks of delays, a ramp in downtown Scranton has closed.

PennDOT shut down the Cedar Avenue ramp at Orchard Street to the Central Scranton Expressway Monday.

Signs and a police officer were out warning drivers about the closure.

PennDOT expects the ramp to be closed until September while crews replace the Moosic Street Bridge in Scranton.

The bridge was damaged when a truck hauling heavy equipment hit the underside of the structure in 2012.
