MAHONING TOWNSHIP — Police in Carbon County accuse a man with spying on others in a Walmart bathroom.

Police told Newswatch 16 a man used a stall in a restroom at the Walmart Supercenter in Mahoning Township, and noticed another man watching him in an adjacent stall.

Officials said Anthony Mistretta, 48, of Nesquehoning, peeked over the stall divider with a mirror. Officers said he went as far as wrapping the automatic flushing censor in toilet paper, to prevent it from flushing while he watched other men.

According to police, the victim followed Mistretta out into the parking lot where he got the man’s license plate number.

Police were able to identify Mistretta after watching surveillance video, and looking up his  plate number.

Mistretta is charged with invasion of privacy.
