DELAWARE WATER GAP NATIONAL RECREATION ARE A– Just when the closure of a beach in Pike County looked unavoidable, organizers said the Milford Beach in Delaware Watch Gap will remain open for 2013.
Milford Beach was set to close because of federal budget cuts, but an energy company has stepped forward, offering a donation of more than $40,000.
The energy company, Kinder Morgan, is involved in a natural gas pipeline just outside of Milford.
