Man Shoves Meat Down Pants in Attempt to Steal

WILKES-BARRE — A man is facing charges in Wilkes-Barre after police said he tried to steal meat from a grocery store in the city.

Police said John Paul Edstrom of Wilkes-Barre was in Schiel’s Family Market Thursday afternoon, when he shoved several steaks down his pants and tried to leave the store.

A Loss Prevention Officer stopped Edstrom. Police also found a syringe when they searched Edstrom.
