Allen Chubb opened the Keystone Shooting Park in Northumberland County two years ago, on Thursday he welcomed two-time Olympic gold medalist and world champion skeet shooter Vincent Hancock to the range. The 24-year old from Georgia put on quite a show.
"I started when I was 10 years old. I got involved with this sport my brother and father we're competitive shooters. It was the most challenging thing I've ever done. I went to Atlanta where they held the 1996 Olympics and shot on that range. I fell in love with this sport," said Vincent Hancock.
"It's a huge opportunity for us to get the sport out to the general public and Vincent and his dad are such great people very giving back to the sport that's given them lots. So it's a huge win for everybody," said Allen Chubb.
Retired from the Army now Sergeant Hancock plans on continuing skeet shooting on a full-time basis and will be in Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic games to defend that gold medal.
"I almost retired out of this sport in 2011, but I continued on then got in 2012 in London and just went there with the attitude I was going to shoot my best, and then went out and broke my own Olympic record and got another gold medal," again said Vincent.
The shooting park in Dalmatia is set up to simulate an Olympic style venue. It's one of a kind in Northeast Pennsylvania.
"I built a previous one down towards the Allentown area, but this was a little extra special. We wanted to make sure it was more accessible than normal facilities, so we built the first world's fully-automated Olympic shotgun range.
Vincent has a quick hand and a keen eye. He hit all 25 shots while we we're there and took the Olympic gold medal in London by hitting 123 out of 125 in the qualifying round then all 25 in the finals for the Olympic gold.
