HONESDALE — Police in part of Wayne County want to know who vandalized a statue of the Virgin Mary outside of a Roman Catholic church.
The statue outside of Saint John the Evangelist Church along Terrace Street in Honesdale is held together by glue.
Cracks can be seen around its neck where it was glued back onto the body.
Police in Honesdale believe someone cut the head off the statue within the past week.
No arrests were made yet.
