DALLAS -- A former advisor of President George W. Bush was in our area Tuesday talking terrorism.

Frances Townsend served as an advisor to the 43rd President of the United States.

She was the featured speaker Tuesday evening  at Misericordia University in Luzerne County.

She was asked about last week's bombing in Boston, and subsequent arrest of one of the terror suspects.

Townsend said: "The one thing everybody wants to know, that's not required for the federal government to prove his motive. So, we may never know the motive and the federal government doesn't have to prove it. I think we, the American people, and federal investigators want to try to answer that question anyway."

Townsend served in the White House during President Bush's second term.

She's currently a contributor to CNN.
