FACTORYVILLE -- A young pilot from Malaysia was in Wyoming County Monday afternoon, picking up equipment he needed for his plane.
James Tan, 21 of Malaysia, told Newswatch 16 that he is attempting to become the world's youngest person ever to fly around the world solo.
According to RTW, the current record holder is Carlo Schmid of Switzerland, who was 22 when he made his flights around the world in 2012.
Tan was last seen at Seamans Airport in Factoryville to pick up equipment, but he did not fly there as part of his trip.
