MOOSIC -- The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders picked up a win Sunday afternoon on WNEP fun day, defeating the Syracuse Chiefs 5-1.

RailRiders pitcher Vidal Nuno struck out six in 5 2/3 innings of work, earning his second win of 2013. Daniel Rosenbaum suffered the loss for the Chiefs.

Offensively the RailRiders picked up two runs in the fifth inning and three in the eighth. Corban Joseph, Zoilo Almonte, David Adams, Thomas Neal, and Addison Maruszak all added RBI's in the win.

The Chiefs' lone run came in the top of the sixth inning on a Jeff Kobernus single. Kobernus and Chris Marrero both had a multi-hit game.

With this win, the RailRiders have won six of their last eight. Their next home game is slated for Monday at 6:35 at PNC Field against the Chiefs.
