PIKE COUNTY -- A body was found near the shore of Lake Wallenpaupack, according to a fish and boat commission official.
Rescue crews were called out to the Wayne County side of the lake Saturday afternoon, when an empty fishing boat was spotted on the water.
Dive teams were called in to look for the missing fisherman.
They worked until sundown Sunday night with no luck.
Authorities tell us the man is from Jefferson Township in Lackawanna County.
The spokesperson would not confirm if the body that turned up this morning on the Pike County side of the lake is that of the missing fisherman.
