POTTSVILLE -- Pottsville police took one man into custody Sunday afternoon after responding to a report of shots fired in the city.

According to published reports, police received a report of a man with a gun on a roof in the area of Third and Norwegian streets. When police told the man to come down, he did and was taken into custody. He was questioned and released, although police say charges are pending.

Published reports cite a police news release which identifies the man as Anthony Iacovitti, 40.

That same news release identifies the gun as a battery-operated MP5 replica with a scope and collapsible stock. According to published reports, police determined that it is a pellet gun.

No one was hurt.
