Strike Out Hunger Bowling Fundraiser
Meal on Wheels of Northeastern Pennsylvania sponsors the event at the Valley Bowling Lanes on Meredith Street in Carbondale on Sunday, May 5 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. The event includes two games and shoe rental followed by an afterparty celebration of Cinco de Mayo in the Champions Lounge with music, give-a-ways & raffles. Family Fun Fishing Day
Family Fun Fishing Day is celebrated at Sweet Arrow Lake Clubhouse in Pine Grove. The Schuylkill County Sportmen’s Advisory Board coordinates the fishing on Sunday, May 5, from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Clubhouse Road on the south side of Sweet Arrow Lake. There’s lots of trout to be caught and over $3,000 in prizes. Registered children 12 years and under receive a prize. Visit sweetarrowlakepark.com for more information.
