TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP — A juvenile was taken into custody after a drug task force learned he was dealing drugs, according to officials in Monroe County.

Officials said they intercepted a package filled with marijuana that was in the mail addressed to North Carolina, and traced the package back to a 16 year old male who lives in Monroe County.

The Monroe County Drug Task Force said they then searched the juveniles residence located in Indian Mountain Lakes, in Tunkhannock Township.

Police said they found additional quantities of marijuana, and packing material there.

The 16 year old confessed to sending the package and distributing marijuana locally in Monroe County.

He is charged with drug possession, the intent to deliver, and related changes.
