EXETER -- A convicted sex offender who was on the run for four days is back in custody in Luzerne County.
Officers said Clyde Tonkin was found late Thursday night but authorities have not said where he was picked up. Police believe Tonkin skipped out on his trial after cutting off an electronic monitoring device and escaped house arrest on Monday.
Even though he was not in the courtroom. Tonkin was found guilty Tuesday of having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Exeter police said Tonkin will face new charges for the escape.
