STATE COLLEGE -- Officials at Penn State University are increasing security at the upcoming Blue and White game in response to Monday's deadly blasts at the Boston Marathon.
Fans visiting Beaver Stadium for Saturday's game will not be allowed to bring any bags, backpacks, or purses into the facility.
The items have also been banned from all other venues on campus hosting events through Sunday.
School officials at Penn State say state and local police will also have a higher presence at this weekend's events in Centre County.
