PITTSTON TOWNSHIP — A shopping area in Luzerne County is scheduled to close its doors for good in May.
Merchant’s Village in Pittston Township said it is shutting down on May 3, according to the business’s Facebook page. It first opened its doors back in 2010.
More than 120,000 square feet of empty space at a former Wal-Mart was converted into different booths for vendors selling all sorts of items.
Merchant’s Village is open seven days a week. Because of the announced closing, many of the vendors are now having going out of business sales.
The business has not given a specific reason why they are shutting down.
