Homes and businesses throughout the area are still without power after high winds and heavy rain pounded our area.

PPL crews were out in Dunmore Thursday replacing a utility police snapped in half by yesterday's strong winds.

The pole is located near the off-ramp from southbound Interstate 81 along the O'Neill Highway.

Traffic was down to one lane while crews replaced the utility pole.

Also in Lackawanna County, a tree came down on top of this house in Blakely. The high winds even managed to send part of a baseball dugout into a home in Scranton.  And, at the Giant Supermarket in Dickson City, a shopping cart cover and light pole were damaged.

It was a similar scene in central Pennsylvania.

A pick-up truck was buried by trees along Grove Street in Williamsport.

In Susquehanna County, some big trees were uprooted and high winds in Silver Lake Township, near the New York line, took down trees during Wednesday's powerful storm.
