DENNISON TOWNSHIP -- A teen had to be rescued after getting stuck waist deep in mud in Luzerne County.

Dennison Township firefighters tell us the boy was walking with his family near a new bridge at Nescopeck State Park Sunday when he got stuck.

The area used to be a lake before it dried up.

Rescuers say they had to use ladders and boards to pull the teen out of the mud.

Park officials tell us there are no plans right now to put up any warning signs.
