PALMYRA TOWNSHIP — A man from New Jersey will spend between six months and two years in prison on fraud charges.
Samuel Slatus, 75, was sentenced last week in Pike County.
State police say a 72-year-old woman from Hawley gave Slatus $9,000 to invest in 2011 but instead, he deposited the money into his own account and used it on personal expenses and to make bets at the horse track.
