MOOSIC -- Despite the chill in the air Wednesday, fans headed to PNC Field in Moosic for a preview of the new improved ball park.
"I think it’s nice, definitely really nice. Drove by yesterday morning and it was all lit up, it looked great," said Curt Kromko of Waymart.
Fans got a chance to meet some RailRiders players, even try out the concessions.
It took about a year and more than 40 million to overhaul the stadium.
Now, there are more than 75 hundred seats, 18 luxury boxes and a family fun zone.
"My favorite part is when they had the batting cage it was really cool when I went in it," said Austin Boersma of Clarks Summit.
“It’s gorgeous, this is fantastic, I can’t wait to see the game tomorrow," agreed his father, Doug.
Fans said they can feel the excitement leading up to the first RailRiders game scheduled for Thursday.
Ted Anderson has three sons who are itching to be at PNC Field for the first game of the season.
“The boys want to be here for the first night, I was here for the first night back in 1989, and it was just really exciting so I wanted them to be here also," said Anderson.
The game will be broadcasted on WNEP.
